100 Thousand Poets for Change: Read a Poem to a Child

Looking for something to do with the family? On Saturday, September 28th, join poets Phoebe Wagner, Naseem Jamnia, Andy Butter, Joanne Mallari, and Michelle Wait as they participate in 100 Thousand Poets for Change.

100 Thousand Poets for Change is a worldwide movement that promotes environmental, social, and political change. Participating poets, writers, artists, and humanitarians create, perform, educate, and demonstrate in their individual communities, and decide their own specific area of focus for change within the overall framework of peace and sustainability.

This year, local poets are teaming up to participate in the 100TPC global literacy initiative “Read a Poem to a Child.” Starting at 1:00, Wagner, Jamnia, Butter, Mallari, and Wait will be leading a reading circle to share the power of poetry. Any and all children are welcome, no poetry experience required!
