There's a special place in our hearts for young readers. Reading together strengthens the bond between children and parents, improves speech and language skills, enhances concentration, and encourages curiosity. We host a regular story time with the amazing Paula Robison, who shares stories, rhymes, songs, and art projects with your little ones on the first Tuesday of every month, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Story time at Sundance is designed for children ages 3 to 6 accompanied by a chaperone, but young people of all ages are welcome.
Paula is raising her three children with love of art and reading, and has taught art at many of our local schools: as an artist in residence with Sierra Arts Foundation’s Arts in Education, an art teacher with Arts For All Nevada, and for adults with the David J. Drakulich Foundation and VA of the Sierra Nevada’s Veterans’ Art Project. Currently she teaches through the Art Masterpieces program at Brown Elementary while continuing her own painting and illustration.
This program is made possible through a partnership with Nevada Humanities and with support from the Nightingale Family Foundation.
